If you’re anything like me (social media addicted), and have a Facebook Page for your business.
(If you don’t, you should!!)
Then here’s the coolest tip I’ve seen in a long time for knowing when somebody has posted to your Page! I mean, if somebody’s kind and interested enough in your Page to comment, they deserve a reasonably speedy reply. People feel a little awkward sometimes when they comment on a site or post and it just sits … They wonder if they might have said the wrong thing…
Or, there’s always the possibility that somebody’s posted something out of place, like SPAM, for crying out loud, which always amazes me! You’d be surprised by the number of SPAM-o-grams I’ve deleted from my Facebook Page and/or Profile. I want to say, “Really?! Seriously!!” but I just delete instead –
Gotta keep moving on!
And on that note, here’s a really juicy, clever tip via Mari Smith, who’s about the most generous person on Facebook as far as I’m concerned. 🙂
And for those of you who’d rather stay here all warm and cozy…
How to set up “notifications” for your Facebook fan page:
- Go to http://google.com/alerts
- In the search term box, type this: site:http://facebook.com/yourusername keyword keyword (add an OR in-between keywords if you want to search for either/or; you don’t need “quotes”)
- Select Everything, as-it-happens, All results, Deliver to email address (or feed!) > then Create Alert
**HOT Tip** Set an alert just for the keyword “ago” and that should trigger all posts! (pulls from the timestamp)
So there you go, kids!! Have fun and play safe!
