Doing good in the world feels good!
After meeting Goldie Hawn via Twitter (see Touched by Twitter Stardust for more) I decided I want to help a little with sharing twhat she’s doing right now via The Hawn Foundation. There’s a bargain in it for you if you can make this event in NYC. I make no money off of it. I’m just here to put out a little more good in the world!
Hope your weekend is beautiful and bright!!

MindUP is a social and emotional learning curriculum that supplements a traditional academic curriculum.
With drop-out rates increasing, suicide risks escalating and stress on the rise, MindUP provides children with emotional and cognitive tools to help them manage emotions and behaviors, reduce stress, sharpen concentration, and increase empathy and optimism.
Over the last five months, MindUP training has been successfully conducted in the Newark school district:
•15 schools have implemented the curriculum
•450 teachers have been trained in the MindUPTM curriculum and are seeing positive results
•Nearly 5,000 students have benefited from the curriculum
•Results show 60% increase in optimism and a significant decrease in aggression
The Hawn Foundation is working to have district-wide implementation of the MindUP program in all 52 Newark area Elementary and Middle Public Schools by 2013. Help us grow and impact lives!
