Somebody wants to cruise on your Facebook profile just a little (or a lot) too much and it’s starting to creep you out.

What are your options?

Getting off of Facebook and defriending lots of people is an option some people take, but in extreme cases I prefer to simply block the person who’s making me uncomfortable. I’ve only done it 3 or 4 times, for good reason, and it feels terrific to be safer in my Facebook experience.

Some things you should know:

Facebook wisely doesn’t tell anybody that they’ve been blocked or defriended, for that matter, so this spares any uncomfortable feelings all around. Hats off to Zucks for this considerate move. 🙂 Once somebody’s been blocked they can’t find you via a Facebook search or see any of your activities on Facebook, even if you have lots of mutual friends. There’s nothing to fear except going through another week of worrying about person X who doesn’t need to be seeing your social life online.
